The food was nice and hot just un fortunately didn't all come out together
Customer service is poor, management needs changing. They always need to have a plan in place for unforeseen events like running out of food! Non apologetic, confrontational when asked about lack of food after prebooking table!
Haven't been in there for some years. I went out with the intention of shopping almost next door and on to The Forest for a quick beer and home.Traffic at a standstill. So pulled out and courtesy of the roundabout to shop in West Moors instead an the Small but good Tesco. Then after putting shopping in the car went into the Elephant and Castle. Not busy and served quickly and politely but price of San Miguel extremely high for a very basic local , that was 4.40 for a pint , which I get down the road in The Tap and Railway and The Forest for much less. Will only go back if stuck!
Superb value Sunday lunch. It's a regular stop for us: the quality is consistently good. Lovely pink beef (and choice of ham or turkey - or have some of each!) and a selection of 5 veg and potato cooked two ways. 30 for two, including a bottle of wine.
Bar manageress very pleasant & helpful, as were the rest of the staff! We were the only 2 people in there at 2.30, so it lacked atmosphere.our mixed grill was very good value, although the rump steak was very tough, so we bought it back for our dog! Forgetting that, the staff made it enjoyable!
